Hey! This is a bit urgent! So I live in a dorm, which has double two story beds, we are four girls, so one of them moved out today, she slept in the first floor bed, and this other girl said she's taking the bed, but I had this idea some time before she even moved in, I really need to sleep on the first floor, bc of my back ache, and now I feel anxious that she will be angry. Since she was away I moved to it, I don't want to fight, how can I keep my cool when she yells at me? I will not concede.

here’s what i would do… i would tell her this: “i have severe back pain. i really need the bottom bed, because it helps with my back ache.” you know what makes this sentence so powerful? can you guess? ok. it’s the transition word “because”. that word followed by a reason will result in compliance. this is well known amongst salesmen and marketers. use it, but don’t abuse it. hope that helps. ~rob
