Your head will burn and buzz at draw of night.

Though wise men seem to think they are immune

From headaches, tir’dness, symptoms we may cite–

Good men– who frequent shop when opportune,

Their loyalty unmatched by others– might

Drink, drink before the rising of the moon.

Wild men who watch the sun rise like a tune

Will sit all day and nurse a latte, lite–

Do not get coffee in the afternoon.

Grave men who hang their life upon a spoon,

Whose eyes stare blind until they drink Delight,

Drink, drink before the rising of the moon.

And you, dear patron, reading this small rune:

Curse all who drink caffeine under starlight.
