of poverty, violence, death.

Watching our own human spirit suffer,

we celebrate our lives blissfully.

The clothes we wear on our backs,

everything we touch,

built from the hands of the voiceless,

used by the hands of the ignorant.

Is this how we should live,

thriving on the demise of our fellow kind?

Consumed by greed,

we grow stronger as the world weakens.

The presence of fear is harmless

The absence of hope is dangerous.

Yet those who have the most,

fear the least.

Those who have the least,

hope the most.

So what will you do?
