After we read Romeo and Juliet in 9th grade English I fell in love with old English. It felt like a different language or a puzzle I had to try to decode. When I told my mom this she went and dug out an old vhs tape. She had recorded the movie version of Much Ado About Nothing from the 90s. I absolutely loved the film and I now watch if every time I’m feeling down or missing home because Beatrice has the same wit as my mom. Also, the poem at the beginning (Sigh No More, Ladies) is favorite and I have even memorized it!
